Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void is an expansion pack to the real-time strategy game Starcraft II: Wings of liberty. The game put you in charge of the third faction of the infamous series, the Protoss, as they attempt to stop the end of the universe at the hands of a power-hungry Space demigod.

Story, setting, and characters

The story follows the Protoss hierarch Artanis as the remaining Protoss attempt to retake their home world and are subsequently forced to face the ultimate enemy in the universe. Some other characters appear either as advisers or playable commanders in the multiplayer throughout the story.

Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void Game features

The game features a greatly expanded unit array for players to choose from to build their styles around. Everything from air units to basic infantry has been looked at and tweaked to help increase the sustainable combat and flow of the new game.

The way combat is usually conducted, almost a game plan in general has also changed. Now, much less time is spent on building bases to build up your army, with the focus instead of finding resources to expand your military from chosen units. This keeps the action faster than usual as it forces you to expand more than the other entries in the series.

There's also the new multiplayer mode that allows two people to command the same army. Allowing them to handle multiple scenarios but with the same pool of units.

Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void has been received with great positivity by critics and regular players alike. It currently holds an 83 critical score on Metacritic with an 8.3 as a general audience score.
