Story, Setting, and characters

There are not a lot of stories when it comes to SnowRunner, as it is just about you trying to expand your fleet of trucks to take on more jobs. The trucks themselves also serve as characters, and you never really meet a person in the game, but they all have function and personality.

The most story is based on the missions in the Setting, which will vary in the three different environments. You start in Michigan by cleaning up after some flooding and then unlock the last two areas, Alaska and Taymyr. The missions are simple, often picking up or dropping something off and leaving you to the challenge.

Challenge is one of the most pronounced features of this game. In various environments come many hurdles, such as slipping on ice or getting bogged down in the mud. Then the challenge becomes how to get your truck and cargo out of it.

Another significant feature is the sheer amount of trucks that are featured in-game. There're 40 different types for you to choose from and add to your fleet. From small scout trucks on the way up to huge semis, all are upgradable. These are also based on real-life brands, including Ford and Chevy.
