Story, Setting, and Characters

Set in a world that no more exists after getting destroyed by a powerful entity called Lich, the hero finds himself in an ever-changing universe. Trying to rebuild a new world, the brave hero come across other survivors, some of who are willing to help him rebuild a world, while others, not so much. The end of one journey is just a beginning of a new one.

Loop Hero Game Features

Loop Hero features a randomly generated world that acts as a blank canvas for the player to fill with buildings, mountains, forests, and more with the use of “Landscape cards” that the player retains after killing an enemy. Different terrains have different effects on the player, some restore health points, while some increase player’s speed. These terrain types also hold different enemies that the player has to fight.

The player can also collect loot items by killing the enemies and use them to further reinforce his adventure through each loop. Each of these items helps the player boost certain attributes such as health points, attack amount, defense, and more. With each landscape card, the player increases the boss meter, which eventually spawns a final boss.

Loop Hero is unlike any other roguelike title with complex deckbuilding, tile placements, and great use of a time loop. The game has received a Metascore of 82 and a user score of 8.0 on Metacritic.
