Story, Setting, and Characters

Hade's centers around Zagreus, one of the children of Hades, as he continually fights through the underworld in hopes of escaping and reaching Mount Olympus. Along the way, you will meet many characters from Greek Mythology, including Sysiphus, Nyx, and even Zeus himself!

After Cronus was overthrown by his sons, his kingdom was divided among them, and the underworld fell by lot to Hades. There he ruled with his queen, Persephone, over the infernal powers and over the dead in what was often called “the house of Hades,” or simply Hades. He was aided by the dog Cerberus.

Hades Game Features

In Hades PC, you will die. A lot. But, with each death comes significant growth via the Mirror of Night, which will provide you with upgrades that persist through death. Powerful abilities will be granted to you via Boons from various gods. Between these Boons and your Mirror of Night upgrades, you will get a little closer to your goal with each run through the Underworld.

Hades is divided into five primary realms, starting with Tartarus, Asphodel, and Elysium. Each time you move to the next realm, enemies get significantly harder, which means you need to keep up with the curve by increasing your damage potential.

The Underworld and its inhabitants are brought to life with Supergiant’s signature artistry. Dramatic lines, bright colors, and faithful renditions of mythological characters will fully immerse you in the world of Hades. Additionally, each character you meet is fully fleshed out and fully voice acted. With each new interaction, a little more of the story will be revealed to you, helping you on your mission to escape.

It has a moving, personal narrative, exciting gameplay, deep systems, and amazing music and aesthetics. It was already a great game when it came out in Early Access, but it's come so far since then and is easily one of the best games of 2020, if not in the last few years.
