The list of features for this game deserves its article. This game’s main feature is the sheer amount of content From Software managed to fit in this one game. There is no way that anyone, without some guidance, can do everything in a single playthrough. Even if you had a guide, some events get canceled by the completion of others, so you’d still need a second playthrough to see everything.

If you’ve heard about Dark Souls, then you know how well the developers have mastered their interpretation of what it means to play an RPG. The amount of challenging bosses and creative enemies in this game is rivaled by no other title, and it's all mashed into a genuinely open-world experience. Players can do almost anything at any time, which makes this game feel larger than any other open-world game in this generation.

Reviews and General Information

Elden Ring PC currently has a fantastic Metascore of 96 with a good user score of 7.9. IGN has also stated that this is the easiest 10 rating they’ve given a game. In terms of bosses, I finally beat the first one, Margit, after about 10-15 hours of grinding runes. This game wants you to either explore or find a good farming spot and rewards your effort for either option. I enjoyed looking for a good farming spot and then collecting runes and leveling up my stats. When it comes to building a character, you have a lot of control over your build. It's very extensive and makes it so you can control your play style. I started as a Samurai and leveled up my katana and that's been my main weapon for most of my playtime. However, to my delight, I also found some wolverine claws which are awesome to use. Some weapons also have specific skills that come with them, which makes it very cool to find new ones and experience them. On top of that, there are also some great-looking armor sets in this game that will truly make you feel badass. This game has been a blast, and I haven't even really gotten anywhere in the story yet. Although to be honest, I don't pay much attention to the stories in these games. It's all about the challenges and experiences that I enjoy. I know this review is not incredibly detailed, or structured. However, if you are interested in a game that will reward you for your time, as well as teach you its inner workings, this is definitely for you. If you enjoy exploring depth worlds and fighting monsters, this is definitely for you.”

While newbies to the franchise bash this game for being “inaccessible,” others relish in the challenge, claiming that’s a massive part of what makes playing this game so rewarding. Couple that with the seemingly endless amount of exploration potential, and you have what may be the best game ever to be released in history.

Of course, any of the “Souls” games from From Software share the most similarities. Sekiro, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls all play the same save for minor upgrades from generation to generation. However, the most similar game to this outside From Software’s legacy is Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
