The game is heavily story-driven, and you'll need to use your detective skills to solve puzzles and uncover clues. The game is also very replayable, as you can choose different ways to solve crimes.

The trailer makes it seem like a dark and action-packed RPG. It's not.  This game's world is very well built, in the sense that you're left completely isolated in a dark universe where everyone is up to something they're trying not to tell you. Enter into detective mode - which in this case means going through large dialogue trees where most of your choices are irrelevant - as you piece together not only what has happened in the town you're in, but (literally and figuratively) who you are. Some moments in this game make it all feel worth it, especially after spending roughly 30 hours really going through as many of the dialogue choices and off-path elements of the game as possible. Yet in hindsight, I could've just watched the trailer - which accounts for roughly 80% of the game's memorable moments - which are obviously included because it helps sell it to prospective buyers, and read the wiki online. That said, a lot of the storylines are compelling, fun, or interesting if you chase them down and let them develop. If you love game lore that borders on fanatical treatises of political and social theory, buys this game. It's a fairly entertaining way of repackaging many of the events in real-world history into a fictitious world where you're always welcome to just throw your hands up, walk away, steal from someone, or punch and kick mailboxes and lamp posts. You can save scum your way through any check you'd like, or you can grin and bear it when the RNG doesn't go your way. The large number of collectible items that help your stats, plus a somewhat overly convoluted tree of internalized thoughts can help boost or change your abilities during the game. There's a skill tree too. In the end, your choices can play out just as you want them to, or you can let them be just as random as the game lets them. After finishing the game I felt it was an enjoyable enough time to play it and see what the world was all about. I didn't rush it, and I'm glad I saw some of the side quests, which proved to be far, far more memorable than the main story, which really fell flat after a key "no turning back" moment.”
