Do you love video game music–from the classics (Super Mario Bros) to today (Halo)? Are you entering grades 7-12 this fall? Join first-ever Summer Camp, at the Century Center / Bendix Arena. Featuring video game music for orchestras, fun social events/gaming time, and more! All campers will receive a box lunch every day, SBYSO Summer Camp T-Shirt, and more! The South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestra will be hosting its first-ever summer camp starting on Monday for students from grades seven through 12.
The video game-themed music camp starts on Monday, runs through June 17, and meets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the South Bend Century Center.
As a part of the theme, campers will learn various video game tunes, from classics like Super Mario Bros to more contemporary pieces like the Halo soundtrack.
All who participate will receive a box lunch each day and a youth orchestra t-shirt.
Those who are not current members of the orchestra will have a chance to audition for the 2022-2023 season.
Capping off the camp will be a concert performance of the music learned during the week on June 18 at 1 p.m.
Camp will run from 10 am-4 pm from June 13-17. Concert June 18 at 1pm / Century Center, Bendix Arena.
Camp tuition = $200 and includes free use of gaming facilities in Bendix Arena each camp day, plus daily box lunch, camp T-shirt, and more!
