Here’s a neat Minecraft mod that restores an abandoned castle to its former glory

Xbox partners with Conservation Society national trust made a model of Corfe Castle for Minecraft with some UK creatives. The rather complex and impressive structure was sponsored by Xbox UK as part of the National Trust Archaeology Festival, encouraging people to “use the foundations to create their own version of the ruins”.

To that finish, this primary construct was achieved by a YouTube video maker named Grian, whose work is highlighted within the video above and on YouTube. By working off of historical pictures and consulting with a skilled, then combining Minecraft construct experience with a little bit of creative license, Grian creates a construct that highlights probably the fascinating options of Corfe Fortress, like its historic octagonal tower and miniature palace, or “Gloriette .”

“Grian has done a fantastic job restoring Coffey Castle to its former glory. Not only has he accurately reproduced the various historical styles within the castle grounds, but he has also incorporated his own imagination. We can’t wait to see more inspiring The design of more young people,” said Martin Papworth, an archaeologist at the National Trust.
